On behalf of Alzheimer’s Society I would like to say a huge and heartfelt thank you to the many local residents who united against dementia by supporting the Cheshire Memory Walk.
Across Cheshire around 21,325 people are living with dementia and 850,000 are affected UK-wide.
Dementia devastates lives. Every pound raised through Cheshire Memory Walk will help Alzheimer’s Society provide vital information and support, improve care, fund research and create lasting change for people affected by the condition.
I was incredibly proud to be with 1,600 people united against dementia. Our Cheshire Walk has helped in the Alzheimer's Society's pledge to invest £150 million research over the next decade.
I am so grateful to all the walkers and volunteers who made the event possible and playing a vital part in raising awareness of dementia and helping to fight against the isolation it causes.
Roll on next year!
