TATTON Conservatives rolled up their sleeves with their litter pickers at the ready to clean up litter hotspots in Wilmslow.
The event was organised by Conservative Councillor, Julie Dawn Potts, and saw members of the Tatton Conservative Association and fellow Conservative Councillors take part in a 'Big Clean' litter picking session this morning.
The Conservative councillors, Julie Dawn Potts, Gary Barton, Viveene Brooks, Ian Ferguson and Don Stockton each led separate teams of volunteers in different spots around Wilmslow, including Colshaw Farm, The Carrs and the Sainsbury’s car park.
Cllr Potts said: “"This was the second litter picking session I have organised since lockdown.
"I was very pleased to see even more people join us. While we were out a number of people thanked us for our efforts – with some even offering their support for future sessions. A special thank you to Chris from the Wilmslow Clean Team, who very kindly provided the equipment for our session."
Cllr Potts voiced her frustration recently on social media about dog dirt on pavements, drivers blocking pavements by parking on them and hedges overhanging the pavement or blocking a bus stop, forcing people to walk in the road.
